Disc Anodes (LSA)

CerAnode’s LSA Life-Saver Anode is a low-profile disc anode engineered for impressed-current cathodic protection (ICCP). The disc is built with EMMO™ enhanced mixed-metal-oxide coating and molded into a dielectric housing so it can be mounted directly to a structure without electrical interference. It offers reliable, uniform current distribution to guard heat exchangers, valves, pumps, lock gates, and other critical components.

LSA anodes are designed for long service life and minimal maintenance, helping extend the life of protected assets.

Installation & Accessories

Prepare: Clean the mounting surface, ensuring it is electrically isolated (per project specification).
Ensure Contact: Fasten LSA disc using the molded studs and recommended torque to ensure good mechanical and electrical contact.
Connection: Choose either the underwater connector version (for diver access) or the terminal-lug version (for land-based connections).
Cable: Run and secure cabling to feed from the anode to the rectifier or power source. Provide strain relief.
Monitoring & Commission system: check voltage, polarity, and verify that current output and potential readings meet design criteria.
Power Source: Use reference electrodes and monitoring leads to measure protection potentials and ensure proper performance.
Retrofits / Replacements: use compatible junction boxes, connectors, and insulating components to simplify installation.
