CerAnode’s JBSS Stainless Steel Junction Boxes are heavy-duty enclosures designed for reliable termination and protection of cables and electrical connections in cathodic protection (CP) systems. Crafted from marine-grade stainless steel (304 or 316/316L), the JBSS series offers excellent corrosion resistance, structural strength, and environmental sealing, making them ideal for both on-shore and marine CP installations.

Installation & Accessories

Mounting: Install on flange, wall, pole, skid or rack; use provided mounting lugs or brackets depending on configuration.
Cable Entry: Use stainless-steel cable glands or conduit fittings through gland plates or knockouts; ensure sealing with gaskets or O-rings for IP66/NEMA 4X integrity
Internal Wiring & Termination: Mount terminal blocks, bus bars, shunts, or resistor modules; label leads for structure, anode, reference, and monitoring circuits.
Grounding & Bonding: Ensure internal earth/ground stud or bus bar for bonding and grounding of CP system components.
Sealing & Protection: After wiring, re-install cover with captive screws or locking bolts; periodic inspection to verify gasket integrity and cover seal.
Monitoring & Integration: Connect to rectifier, anode beds, reference electrodes; integrate test leads, potential measurement posts, remote monitoring or data-logging systems if needed.
