Aluminum Galvanic Anode

Galvanic Anodes

Offshore jack-up drilling rig and supply vessel at sea under a dusk sky

Overview

CerAnode™ Aluminum Galvanic Anodes provide reliable, self-powered cathodic protection for steel structures exposed to seawater, brackish water, and other high-conductivity environments. Manufactured from high-performance aluminum alloys, these sacrificial anodes generate protective current without the need for external power, making them an efficient and economical solution for long-term corrosion control. Engineered for marine, offshore, and coastal applications, CerAnode™ aluminum galvanic anodes combine high electrochemical capacity with lightweight construction to maximize service life while minimizing installation and maintenance costs. Available in a variety of sizes and mounting configurations, they can be tailored to meet the requirements of virtually any galvanic cathodic protection system.

Key Features & Benefits

High Electrochemical Capacity

Advanced aluminum alloys deliver excellent current output and high amp-hour capacity, maximizing protection while extending anode service life.

Self-Powered Corrosion Protection

Provides continuous galvanic cathodic protection without rectifiers, external power supplies, or complex electrical infrastructure.

Lightweight & Easy to Install

Aluminum's low density simplifies transportation, handling, and installation while helping reduce overall project costs.

Optimized for Marine Environments

Engineered for reliable performance in seawater, brackish water, and other high-conductivity electrolytes where aluminum alloys provide exceptional protection.

Long-Term, Cost-Effective Performance

High current efficiency and extended service life reduce maintenance requirements and lower lifecycle costs for corrosion protection systems.

Typical Applications

  • Offshore platforms and subsea infrastructure
  • Ship hulls, docks, piers, and marine terminals
  • Coastal and subsea pipelines
  • Ballast tanks and seawater storage tanks
  • Seawater cooling systems, condensers, and heat exchangers
  • Offshore wind foundations and other submerged steel structures
