Underwater Reference Electrode (ZN-ZN-1)

Reference Cells & Monitoring

CerAnode underwater zinc/zinc reference electrode
ZN-ZN-1

Overview

The CerAnode™ Zinc Underwater Reference Electrode is a permanent reference electrode engineered for reliable potential measurement in cathodic protection and corrosion monitoring systems. Manufactured using high-purity zinc, the electrode provides a stable reference point for measuring structure-to-electrolyte potential and evaluating cathodic protection performance in marine and submerged environments.

Zinc reference electrodes are particularly suited to permanent installations where rugged construction and long-term stability are required. Unlike zinc sacrificial anodes, which are designed to provide protective current, a zinc reference electrode functions solely as a measurement reference within a cathodic protection monitoring system.

Designed for submerged and marine service, the CerAnode™ Zinc Underwater Reference Electrode can be integrated with impressed current cathodic protection systems, monitoring equipment, and automated potential control systems. Its durable construction and customizable cable and mounting configurations make it suitable for offshore structures, ship hulls, marine pipelines, seawater intake systems, and other submerged infrastructure.
