CerAnode™ Canister Anode (CAC-CPR)

Impressed Current Anodes (EMMO™)

CerAnode pre-packaged canister anode
CAC-CPR

Overview

The CerAnode™ Canister Anode (CAC-CPR) is a factory-assembled EMMO™ (Enhanced Mixed-Metal Oxide) anode system designed for impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) in soil and submerged environments. Integrating a CerAnode™ Power Rod within a steel canister pre-filled with conductive carbon backfill, it provides a complete, installation-ready solution for distributed and shallow groundbed systems.

Engineered for consistent current output and long-term durability, the CAC-CPR utilizes a titanium-based EMMO™ anode with advanced coating technology to ensure stable electrochemical performance. The pre-packaged configuration optimizes current distribution while reducing installation variability in the field.

Factory-sealed cable connections deliver ultra-low electrical resistance (<100 µΩ), minimizing losses and ensuring efficient system operation. The result is a reliable, high-capacity anode assembly for infrastructure requiring dependable corrosion protection.

Key Features & Benefits

EMMO™ Coating Technology

Arc plasma–sprayed, mixed-metal oxide coating delivers a dense, mechanically bonded surface with significantly enhanced abrasion resistance over conventional MMO systems.

Integrated System Design

Combines a CerAnode™ Power Rod with a steel canister and conductive carbon backfill for a complete, ready-to-install anode solution.

Low-Resistance Electrical Connection

Factory-sealed, moisture-resistant connections ensure efficient current transfer and consistent performance (<100 µΩ).

Optimized Current Distribution

Pre-packaged carbon backfill (e.g., Loresco® coke breeze) enhances conductivity and supports uniform current discharge.

Configurable Design

Available in multiple canister sizes, lead lengths, and cable insulation types to meet project-specific requirements.

Typical Applications

  • Underground and above-ground storage tank systems
  • Pipeline cathodic protection in shallow or distributed groundbeds
  • Marine and nearshore structures
  • Buried infrastructure in soil or water-saturated environments
  • Industrial cathodic protection systems requiring rapid deployment
