CerAnode™ Power Rod (CPR)

Impressed Current Anodes (EMMO™)

CerAnode EMMO tubular impressed-current anode
CPR

Overview

The CerAnode™ Power Rod is a high-performance EMMO™ (Enhanced Mixed-Metal Oxide) tubular anode engineered for impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems across demanding environments. Designed for deep, shallow, and horizontal anode beds, as well as naturally immersed applications, it delivers consistent current output and long-term durability.

Manufactured using APS’s proprietary arc plasma spray process, the EMMO™ coating forms a dense, strongly bonded surface on a titanium substrate. This advanced surface architecture provides superior abrasion resistance, exceptional dimensional stability, and extended service life in aggressive installation conditions, including open-hole deployments.

Key Features & Benefits

EMMO™ Coating Technology

Arc plasma–sprayed, mixed-metal oxide coating delivers a dense, mechanically bonded surface with significantly enhanced abrasion resistance over conventional MMO systems.

Low-Resistance Electrical Connection

Engineered cable-to-anode connections are moisture-sealed and corrosion-resistant, minimizing electrical losses and ensuring efficient current distribution.

Configurable Design

Available in center-connect, end-connect, and string configurations to support a wide range of system designs and installation requirements.

Versatile Deployment

Suitable for deep well, shallow bed, horizontal, marine, and submerged applications across soil and aqueous environments.

Proven Field Performance

Supported by extensive operational history and design-life validation in critical cathodic protection systems.

Typical Applications

  • Deep anode beds for transmission pipelines and utility infrastructure
  • Shallow and horizontal ground bed systems
  • Marine and offshore structures, including piers, jetties, and subsea assets
  • ICCP systems in soil, freshwater, and seawater environments
